1. Eggs

This food has gotten such a bad rap by “health experts” in the past. Notice how they are quiet now? Uh, that’s because eggs are a SUPERFOOD. Don’t let people scare you away from eating eggs… and eating a lot of them. They aren’t bad for your cholesterol. (Side note: People with high cholesterol levels have same percentage of heart attacks as people who have low and normal cholesterol levels. Cholesterol isn’t the problem… plaque build-up in the arteries is).

Sorry about that little rant. Anyway, eat a bunch of eggs. I eat 3 eggs, twice a day.

2. Black beans

Now here is a SUPERFOOD that is flat out incredible as far as I’m concerned. A can of this stuff is cheap, 58 cents at Wal-Mart. And in that can… 25 grams of protein along with 25 grams of fiber. That’s quite a powerful nutritional PUNCH. I eat a can of this everyday… usually a half can split between 2 meals.

3. Apples

Quite possibly the most perfect snack you can have. Why? Because of 2 reasons. Apples are high in water content. Most fruits are. But also, each apple has about 5 grams of pectin fiber in it. This really helps to keep your cravings under control when you eat apples as snacks.
