Therma Lean s Fat Burning Promises - Are They True?

Review Summary

This weight loss supplement is manufactured and promoted by the company West Pharm. There is little product information about this product posted online, but we do know that it is advertised as a powerful fat burner. It is also said to contain the banned ingredient Ephedrine, which has had its ups and downs in the diet industry and is considered by many to be unsafe for use. Therefore, we are even more so inclined to believe that dieters may want to take a closer look at this product and its contained formula before they can decide if Therma Lean appears to be a viable weight loss aid.

Ingredients at a Glance

According to an online description, this product is said to contain the following ingredients: MaHuang or Ephedrine, Caffeine, Kola Nut, Chromium and White Willow Bark.

Ingredients in Focus

Ephedrine was once the most sought after ingredient in the diet industry. This central nervous system stimulant was touted as a powerful fat burner, but it quickly fell from grace when there were many dangerous side effects linked to use of Ephedrine. In fact, there have even been reported deaths due to heart failures that experts feel were due to ingestion of this ingredient. This has led to the ban of Ephedrine within the United States. There has been a few times when this ban was lifted and then reinstated, but it now appears to be back in place.

Ephedrine is classified as a strong stimulant and is not only associated with jittery and nauseating side effects, but it is also said to be linked to hypertension, headaches, anxiety, tremors and more. This ingredient is also reported to bad for the health of the heart, which appears to be one of the major reasons as to why this ingredient was banned.

Currently, Therma Lean is rather expensive. While we are not sure why this company is selling a product that contains Ephedrine, it is possible to find this supplement for sale at some rather dodgy looking Internet retail stores. At the time of this review, a bottle of Therma Lean costs just under $60, but it does not appear to come with a money back guarantee as of this review. However, we did see that one of the retail stores that sells it says that the supplement is currently on backorder.
